TAG: Book Blog Newbie!

Hey guys,

Since this blog is fairly new, I thought I would do the Book Blog Newbie tag. So here goes:

1. Why did you start this blog? I started this blog because I wanted to be more involved in the book community. I’ve always watched booktubers and it wasn’t until last year that I got into writing reviews on goodreads and also into book twitter. It was those things that encouraged me to start my own blog. 2. What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging? Honestly, I have no idea. I don’t care if one person or a thousand people read this blog. It’s more about me having a place where I can vent about things that I love and hate etc. 3. What are you most excited for about this new blog? To have a space where I can share my opinions and reviews. I haven’t written properly since leaving university and I miss it. I never thought I would say this, I actually miss writing essays. Wow. And designing it was pretty fun too. 4. Why do you love reading? When I was younger, it was so I could be better in my writing and literacy. Now, it’s so I can escape to other worlds and forget about the worries and woes of this world. 5. What book or series got you into reading? When I was 11, I would say Diary of A Chav by Grace Dent, more middle grade than YA, and then I went off of reading until I came back to YA with the House of Night Series by PC Cast and Kristin Cast and Twilight by Stephanie Meyer back in those vampire days of YA. 6. What questions would you ask your favorite authors? Why do you kill off so many characters?! 7. What challenges do you think starting a blog will be the hardest to overcome? Probably finding time to actually write the blog posts what with working etc. I barely have time to myself. 😂 8. When did you start reading? Reading properly? 4 years old. Other than that, refer to question number 5. 9. Where do you read? Anywhere. Whenever I have the time. When I used to take the bus to work, I read my ebook on the way there and coming home, I would listen to my audiobook. Now I just listen to an audiobook when I drive. When I’m at home though, I prefer to sit on a sofa. I can never get comfortable reading in my bed. If I sit up, I get cold, if I lay down and have it on me, that’s uncomfortable, on my sides, I start coughing. It’s just awkward but if I do read in bed, I make it work. 10. What kind of books do you like to read? Mostly YA. I’m getting into more middle grade right now. But definitely, fantasy, sci-fi and contemporary. I’m gonna add my own question to this.. 11. How did you decide to name your blog? Okay, this is quite a jump of logic so let me go through it step by step. My last name is Dust. When I created by Cosplay and Photography pages on Facebook, I had to come up with a name for it. And since like I said, my last name is dust, and I had a fascination with Faeries, I went with FaerieDust. That’s where that came from, it has some links to the books that I like and also the fact of my name goes really well with it. Little is because I’m really Little. At the time of writing this, I’m 22 and I am 4’10 and a half inches tall. Or as my friends put it one a and half Jaffa Cake Christmas Boxes Tall.
